Done, Done, Done, & done

The last two years University of Michigan sent out a new student letter in June, with all instructions. I can send you a previous year's for reference if you would like. The ROTC building, North Hall, is being demolished, so they have been busy moving since the end of the school year, so that could potentially cause delays as well.

 Sorry to go OT but this is the first I have heard about North Hall. I spent so much time there - many moons ago - and hoped to show it to my kids some day. I can't imagine UM ever being able (or willing) to construct a building with anywhere near the same resources. My son is at another U and the facilities there pale in comparison to North Hall, even in a state of relative disrepair.

He's a beast in push ups, but has to work harder on those sit ups! Wishing there was a pull up bar option =) 1LT brother is going to run him ragged grad weekend...doesn't feel like love, but is.

Brotherly love = PT. I totally get that.

Also, at UNG, the Corps is divided for group runs into ability groups -- he's going to want to be in the fastest group. Can't stress enough that he should spend a lot of time this summer running fast in those Georgia mountains.

Yes, this is very sad. :frown: It was a beautiful old building, but they had let it go so long without any repairs I guess it was beyond repair. The ROTC will not have their own building any more. All 3 branches are moving; the NROTC into the Chem building which is across N. University from North Hall. According to DS there won't be much space, but there will be a nice gym at least. The school originally wanted to move ROTC to North Campus, but a Trustee, former military I think, fought for them to stay on Central Campus for the visibility. A lot of activities happen around The Diag.

There had been mention of selling the old bricks, but that was a while ago and I haven't heard any more. Go to University of Michigan NROTC Facebook page for more information and photos. We are so happy that DS (and we) got to spend a couple of years there at least.
