Doolie Day Out

My girlfriend is currently at BCT at USAFA and she mentioned that there would be a day in July where Basics would be allowed to go off campus to see their sponsor families. She said it would be before they go to Jack’s Valley for BCT II. Does anyone know the date of this or if they will be allowed to contact their friends and family on this day? Thanks.

DDO - July 29 (phones) - DDO was before Jacks last year, but appears to have been pushed to after the return from Jacks on July 28

They have BCT 2 starting Monday with the march out to Jack's then DDO is 29th, it has been moved as Cider42 stated. T-37IP is totally correct, this is not for friends or family, it's for sponsor families to take the Basic Cadets out for a break from BCT. They will have their phones and be able to make calls as they will be off base and relaxing for the day.

Yes! They can contact friends and family. Our son called us several times that day. He was with a sponsor family relaxing with a couple other Doolies. We did FaceTime, too! It was great.
