As I start on the background investigation part of my application, it's all becoming very real! I just have a few questions. I received an email from the West Point Installation Security Officer explaining in great detail the E-Qip process. In the email she mentioned that I would receive one email from an Army email giving me the link to the E-Qip, and within 30 minutes I should receive the second email from an OPM SECURE email giving me my registration code. Once I received these I would have 5 calendar days to complete and submit my application. She mentioned that there have been some instances where the second email has not been received and what to do if that happened. Today, I got the SECOND email but not the first one from the Army with my E-Qip link. I'm wondering if I should email the security officer and notify her that I never received the first email, as the second one was supposed to come after the one from the Army? I don't know if they thought they sent it to me, or there was a mix up as these emails are coming from two different sources. I don't want to wait too long and find out they thought they sent it to me and have my five days be up. Thanks!

Sure, check your spam folder and if you can't find the first email, give them a call to check. I'd wait an hour or two just to see if that first email makes it.

    I've received both e-mails already.
