A couple Saturdays ago, I (with some help) put the finishing touches on my Eagle Scout Project. I built a sturgeon spearing shanty for House in the Woods, an organization that takes veterans on healing outdoor experiences. For those who don't know, a sturgeon spearing shanty is basically a small shed on runners that sits on ice over a body of water where fishermen spear sturgeon through a trapdoor on the floor. I'm making this post because I think there are quite a few veterans on this forum who could apply for an experience with House in the Woods, and because many people find my project interesting.
