Are only 4 accepts typical?

With the appointments just going out at Christmas, I would think many more will accept in the next few weeks. I seem to remember them saying historically about 85% are accepted.

Lots of appointments left for Regular Action, pretty sure they are bringing in a very large class this year.

28% of EA applicants getting an appointment is not bad.

Is it safe to assume that about ~90 to 110 slots remain available for RA (and others)?

i think so - i believe there was a number close to 300 tossed around somewhere earlier ... for some reason 292 sticks in my head

I think the number of appointments for Reg action will be a little higher. From the class profile posted for 2019 there were 388 appointments total given. I believe this higher number represents an x amount won't accept, will be DQ or drop. Like Freda mentioned about 85% are accepted. You have about 60ish in CGAS now tentatively to be part of that number.

Class of 2019

  • 1,948 completed the application process
  • 388 appointments were offered
  • 291 cadets were sworn in. 287 U.S. Citizens.
  • 45% in the top 10% of high school class
  • 79% in the top 25% of high school class
  • 96% in the top 50% of high school class
  • 86% earned a varsity letter in high school
  • 71% were team captains in high school
  • 28% have a parent who has served in the military
  • 34% attended Academy Introductory Mission (summer intro program between junior and senior year of high school)
  • 12% attended the CGA Scholars (prep) program
  • 80% intend a technical major
  • 225/300 was the average applicant PFE score
  • 20% were band, 5% performing arts members
  • Standardized Test Scores:
    • Median SAT: Math 649, Critical Reading 613, Writing 605
    • Median ACT: Math 28, English 29, Combined 26, Composite 28

85% of those that applied RA? That would bode well for those sitting in that bucket, including my DS.

Appointment packages went out a week later than usual this year, I believe we had 10-11 acceptances at this time last year, so I'd say it's normal/typical. We have eight now, so must have received another four yesterday.

@Objee, by any chance, do you have the stats for CGAS? Also, how many CGAS appointments so far, and how many total CGAS appointments are predicted?
I don't have full statistics for CGAS, but 52 appointments were tendered to that program during Early Action and we usually give around 100 total.

Any figures on how many were waitlisted?
116 wait list offers were extended during Early Action and those applicants must accept their spot by February 1st.
