Eclipse 🌖

Our eclipse viewing mission was scrubbed. We originally were flying to meet in Nashville (me from Wisconsin and Mrs. from Florida) and then planning a drive to Carbondale, IL. The weather didn’t look good for viewing so we looked at other options. Cleveland and Buffalo weather looked promising, but flights are full of revenue standbys and we didn’t have much of a chance to get a seat. We made the decision this morning to give up.
 
We are at 92% totality - so watching here. Only problem - I have a meeting at 2pm central. Asked colleague to reschedule but she hasn’t so far. I may have to skip it. The whole college will be outside watching but we’re going to be in a meeting at that exact time? I don’t think so….

Same here! I’m right over the path but it’s gonna be cloudy 😕
 
Erie, PA here…home of Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry and the maker of the Don’t Give Up the Ship Flag….sitting in the path of totality for the eclipse!! We had two bright sunny days yesterday and today…no clouds. Tomorrow’s forecast…partly cloudy….fingers crossed we get to see it!
 
My classroom last eclipse had a weather station. I was outside with glasses and ran inside to capture these pics.

At the top of the hour, just as we reached totality, the power went out in our neighborhood. Oh did we have fun on the texts.
 
Our skies parted. My DD snapped this unbeknownst to me. Thought yall might enjoy the elusive unicorn 🦄
