I was finally able to cure my eczema that was on my elbows, wrists, hands and knees by doing the following:

1. Use Vaseline Intensive Care Advanced Repair Lotion in the mornings and after showering,
2. Use Aloe Vera Gel (cold pressed) in the afternoons,
3. Use Coconut Oil (organic extra virgin & cold pressed) right before bedtime,
4. Use All Free Clear sensitive skin laundry detergent (no dyes, no fragrances & hypoallergenic), and
5. Stop using dryer sheets.

If this helps just one other person, it was worth writing this up! Good Luck.

So you did all that and don't have to do it any more? That would be pretty close to a "cure".
If you do all that every day to keep all the symptoms of Eczema at bay, then it's more of an an ongoing prophylaxis in lieu of a "cure".

Either way, I'm happy for you.

I don't know that if I stopped moisturizing my skin whether in a few months the eczema would return is some small measure. What you may call an 'ongoing prophylaxis,' I prefer to call maintenance. My skin looks perfect. My dentist once told me to floss only the teeth I wish to keep.

Eczema is never cured. Perfect appearing skin can still react if near a person recently vaccinated against small pox. Eczema vaccinatum. Not fun. Maybe the military has stopped small pox vaccination. I don't know. I was the senior Corpsman at CBIRF and if a Marine had a kid or spousal unit in the house with eczema, he couldn't get the vaccine. That of course meant a down chit for going down range in MOPP 4. Not great for the career of someone whose job is to gear up and fight against WMDs.
