Can plebes store their personal electronic stuff (iPads, headphones etc.) in their rooms after PPW or should we ship them after the academic year begins?
 
Just a word of caution PS continues after PPW. While some PS activities slow as the Brigade starts to reform the caution is that the Plebes will be quickly outnumbered as Block 3 training comes an end.

Take them with you if you are heading out to PPW and your DD/DS will know the rules by then.

I brought mine her I pad and headphones. She put in backpack and it was stored until after plebe summer was over. Just one more week or 5 days after PPW.
 
You can store electronics in your room. My personal guidance is to use your con-locker. Using electronics are fine if they are used for academic purposes (like taking notes on an iPad). Plebes only rate media on the weekends.

Curious -- how is use of media even controlled...
Back in the day, Cell phones didn't exist (or were about the size of a shoebox and certainly not common), and cutting edge "media" was the Walkman cassette player. We didn't "rate media" at all...and it really wasn't a big deal, but of course some ratey Plebes would have their Walkman at night and during study hours. Nowadays, with cell phones, Ipads, etc. it has to be near impossible to prevent the use
 
Thanks to all. Yeah, I'm planning on bringing that stuff with us for PPW but I wasn't sure what they could do with it until plebe summer is officially over with.

It’s mostly on your honor and you rate what you skate these days. Outside of plebes trying to sneak media in obvious ways, it’s usually spot checks/someone inadvertently seeing a plebe using media that leads to trouble. Rating media is usually dealt with in house (I.e. plebe punishments).
 
The way it is now, only a member of training staff cares about a plebe rating media. It’s pretty much expected of plebes to rate media and just not get caught doing so by training staff. Some companies see a plebe rating media as minor as them not chopping or sliming a corner.
 
After PPW, you have to give your electronics back for the last week in your personal bag, then get them back again after PS is over.
