Good afternoon,

I am an enlisted applicant applying for the academy. I had all A's graduating high school. Scored a 26 on the ACT. Recommendations from my Dept head, divo, and plenty of other strong recommendations. My CO wrote me an outstanding endorsement and I have already received my Nomination from the secretary of the Navy. I was just curious how my odds look so far? So far from my view everything looks good but I just wanted a second or third or fourth opinion from current or previous MIDS. Thanks for all the help!

Everything looks really good to me haha. I'm confident but from what I have read about admissions, its gonna be like waiting on the lottery numbers. Reminds me of the good old advancement exams.

I just got my CO endorsement on Friday. I mailed it in. Sucks that it was last minute.

How long did it take you to get the SECNAV though?

Call the Chief first thing at 0800 EST on Monday. Give him the tracking number. Good luck!

I'd still call if it isn't too difficult. He might ask you to send in a scanned copy and able to expedite it - you never know!

I'm stationed on a ship in Japan. I mailed it in a month ago and it never arrived. I scanned the recommendation in and it was A-OK.

That's a good question, I got a nom from my Senator so I don't know.

I had mine scanned in and on the portal listed the date they accepted my CO endorsement. Scrolled down and SECNAV had the same date so I assume it was instantaneous. Good luck to all you guys!

I found out while I was casually checking my email haha. Chain of command all rushed in to congratulate me shortly after. I started my package around October and had most of everything done except CO endorsement around late November/Early December. Finally had package complete on the 18th and found out just over week later. Honestly I was completely shocked because I thought for sure if I did get accepted it would be to NAPS. Now just waiting for a BFE to come!
