Evaluation

Spoke to the Academy today, and my application is under evaluation. I was told I should know by next Friday, and was wondering if there are any benefits to be being evaluated so early in the admissions process? Thank you for your help and time.

Are you an applicant to the class of 2016? ...or by some off shoot the class of 2017?

If you are applying to 2016 you aren't really early in the process, while the deadline is March, admissions starts making decisions much sooner than that. I was notified of my acceptance December 7, 2010 of acceptance in to the class of 2015. Some folks find out as late as June. This isn't to say you're late either, but just not early.

When did you apply? I finished my application for 2015 in February '11 and was wait listed. This year for 2016 I finished in November '11 and got accepted in January '12. But don't worry and stress; do what you can for now.

Finals shminals, it's not like I've got the rest of my life riding on these or anything.

I heard the same thing from the lacrosse coach thats recruiting me. I was supposed to know last Friday about my appointment. But I havent heard anything. The only benefit of finishing early is knowing youve done all you can. Good Luck- Acta-non-Verba
