Hello! My dd just has her interview with her evaluator ALO remaining to complete her application. She initially contacted him via email on Nov. 2nd, the day after his contact information appeared in her portal. She followed up with a phone message about 5 or 6 days later, and an additional email after that. She has heard nothing back. Has anyone else experienced this? She plans on contacting her admissions counselor tomorrow as she also has ongoing issues with getting documents uploaded to her portal as well. Any other suggestions? Her deadline is Nov. 20th to have everything completed. I realize ALO's have other jobs and family lives, but how long do they have before they should respond? Trying to balance being patient with also trying to meet the deadline...

Have your DD contact her USAFA counselor explaining her attempts at contact and asking for advice. My DS had a similar experience with his USNA BGO (USNA's equivalent to the ALO). He contacted his BGO via email twice at the beginning of October. After no word for two weeks, my DS tried to call the BGO. He only got a full voicemail. He then contacted his admissions counselor who was able to tell us that the BGO was on vacation and had left a note that the interview would happen in early November. It made me nervous, but it all was completed just fine. Best of luck to you as I know it is extremely stressful and frustrating.

The ALO and the Evaluator are two different people. Do you have two people listed on the application portal? My DS had his ALO listed from the time his application opened and then once almost all of his application items were turned in, his Evaluator name and contact info appeared. His ALO did not interview him. His Evaluator did. He has actually unsuccessfully reached out to his ALO a few times with no response. His Evaluator responded immediately and the interview took place within a week of initial contact.

Yes, this is her evaluator ALO who has not responded, not the other ALO (mentor) whose contact information has always been present.
