Expedite Medical Waiver?

I have my initial appointment to USAFA! However, while filling out my initial medical questionnaire, I mistakenly recorded that I had a concussion at 13 yrs old. When I actually looked at the medical records later, the 2013 CT scan showed that there was no evidence that I'd ever had a concussion to begin with. Even though it never existed, I'm still required to receive a medical waiver in order to attend the academy.

While USAFA is my first choice, I've also been offered a full ride scholarship to Georgia Tech. I still haven't heard back from the waiver authority and the deadline to decline Georgia Tech is May 3rd. Do y'all have any advice about how I can expedite the waiver process and receive a response hopefully before next Monday? As I said before, I want to attend USAFA, but I don't want to foreclose my other options should I get denied.

Thanks.

Send me an email: lawrence.e.mullen.civ@mail.mil; provide complete name and last 4 SSN; provide the text of your posting above to YOUR email.

The subject line of the email should be “Deathhawk150-SAF= Expedite Medical Waiver.” Do NOT imbed links in your email as I will not be able to view those. :wiggle:

In the same boat as you! I have until Friday to decide but I want to see if I get AROTC medically qualified.

Good Afternoon Mr. Mullen, would it be possible for you to check on my status with DoDMERB? Been stuck under review for a few months :(

If you follow the instructions above, yes:wiggle:

You can honestly just accept Georgia tech (would just have to pay the fee) and pull out once you get notification from USAFA. Although, that Georgia Tech free ride looking quite amazing as well.

not yet :wiggle: . I've received 57 emails since 12:47

Good evening Mr. Mullen, I resent the email because There was a mysterious extra “e” in the address I was copying also!

Yes, thank you so much for trying to help me! I realized that I had been adding an awkward extra "e" to your email. 🤦‍♂️ I sent you a third one!
It isn’t just you lol. I looked back at the last two emails I tried to send and the same thing was happening to me! For some reason when I copy and paste the address it tosses in that awkward extra “e”!
