My son scheduled his ROTC vision exam and the eye doctor requested no contacts for 3 days prior. Why is this?
The ophthalmologist measures your eye, and examines your cornea, and the shape and function of each eye. Your contacts can in some cases reshape the eye and they need to see how your eye sits/ functions without such interference. Lenses too can assist to correct for astigmatism and again they want to see the eye without such alteration. This also avoids any false positive concerns if your eye is irritated by the contact lens, has a grain of dirt, a protein gunk buildup, discharge, etc. there are ranges within your eye must measure in these exams and it’s just cleaner for them to see the eye without the influence of a lens. Calmest, cleanest view. *I think that explanation above is more constructive than the other answer I considered posting - "because the doctor said so" - haha. Good luck.My son scheduled his ROTC vision exam and the eye doctor requested no contacts for 3 days prior. Why is this?
It's spelled out clearly in the directions prior to exam what should and should not be done.My son scheduled his ROTC vision exam and the eye doctor requested no contacts for 3 days prior. Why is this?
