Does the ROTC stipends & scholarship money need listed under the student income portion of the FAFSA?

For NAVY - since my son DIDNT receive a w-2 for stipend, my understanding was that it was NOT taxable income, rather it is substance - I believe that somewhere I read that it isnt to be listed on the federal loan form.
As for the scholarship funds - I do believe I listed them last year - I viewed it that afterall it was a scholarship and does show up on the form I receive from the college as funds they received on behalf of my son.
I do NOT know how the other services work these or other colleges for that matter.
I would assume you (or the cadet/midn) will receive a form from the college - tutition statement form 1098-T (I looked at the one I received just last week-looks like same thing I received last year)
I hope this helps -
