Falcon Foundation Appointments

I didn't receive a nomination either. I had a pretty low SAT score (1230) since I live in a COVID hotspot and wasn't able to retake.
 
Until VERY recently, I had never heard of the Falcon Foundation Scholarship. My son had....but failed to mention anything to me...which gives me hope, still.

He's been a fully qualified candidate since last summer...with great stats across the board, with the exception of the SAT. His first and only attempt was not great...and the last two test slots were cancelled, due to COVID. I'm 99.9963% sure he won't make the USAFA roster for 2025, but perhaps there's a shot at the FFS. Like everyone else here, who doesn't have an answer yet, we sit/wait/stress/hope.

Fortunately, we have plans B-E sorted out. Just waiting to see which trigger to pull.
 
Thanks again Dad_2024. For those still waiting, we are all hoping the good news comes in the morning. Btw, make sure to answer the phone. Our DS missed a call last week during dinner and it was the same number that he received his call from today. I must apologize to our MOC someday for all of the things said in our house in the last 6 days. 😂
 
Okay Falcons, looks like today's the day. Portal is back online and DS notification was there! It's not a dream anymore!!
I hope today marks the day your wait is over. If for whatever reason, you don't have a notification, don't worry or let it affect you. Admissions may need some extra time in your case. Get the best possible grades you can, continue to make wise decisions and keep preparing as if you've been offered an appointment. There were 1 or 2 Falcons last year who were appointed in May, IIRC there were comments related to grades. You are all extraordinary young people! Congratulations!

If you need any help updating the main USAFA 2025 appointment thread from "Will Accept" to "Accepted", I'll be glad to help.
 
So excited that my DD was offered and accepted her appointment to the USAFA Class of 2025! She attends Georgia Military College and is thriving there. So proud of her and of all her fellow classmates for their leadership, character, and progress. This has been quite the journey so far--can't wait to see how USAFA continues to shape her.

My siblings have dual-enrolled at GMC. I live in the same area and dual-enroll at another school! Congrats!

Yes, and particularly in this time of COVID. For the NWP appointees, I am sorry you missed the wonderful California experience, but your son or daughter will still go in USAFA with roughly 40 people they already know....it's an amazing bond!
 
Just added my DD NW Prepster to the USAFA Class of 2025 list!! So much "happy dancing" at our house right now!! Thanks to everyone for the support this last year...definitely a different way of doing things, but finally seeing the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow! Congrats to all of the fellow Falcons!!
