Congratulations! I have a question if you don’t mind me asking. I’m still waiting and hoping I get something. What were your GPA, SAT, extracurriculars, CFA results, etc.? I’m hoping I’m still competitive for something! Thanks.

I highly recommend attending Northwestern Preparatory School! I received a Falcon Foundation scholarship last year, attended NWP, and have accepted my appointment to c/o 23 this Feb! About 60 Falcon Foundation Scholarships were awarded last year and 40 of the recipients attended NWP. There's a reason why so many falcons choose the school and it has a great track record with USAFA. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to PM me!

I had a 3.61 GPA, 1330 Sat, I'm capt. of the Scholastic bowl team, Track for 4 years,NHS , Peer mentor for freshmen,I volunteer at our school's computer help desk, I dont remember what I got for the CFA. I got 12 pullups and 7 flat for the mile but I was pretty middle of the pack. I got a Nom from my state rep. One of my recommendations was from the vice superintendent and the other was a teacher I had for a class I had to ride my bike to another school to take so he wrote a really good recommendation. I'm in the accelerate/AP track for my school.

I wish you good luck, I hope helped

How does second semester work? Where did you go? How much did it cost? does the scholarship apply to the other school?

The scholarship only applies to your prep school, second semester is any university or community college of your choice. I know Navy foundation requires you to attend a university second semester, but USAFA does not. I attended community college because there's one literally a 3 minute drive away from my home. Also, community college is a LOT less expensive than a university. In order to pay for second semester, I used other scholarships that I was awarded at high school. In the end, I didn't have to pay for second semester at all.
During the second semester, USAFA requires you to take Pre-Calc or Calc, an English reading and composition course, Physics, and Chem. Since my community college didn't offer Pre-Calc, Calc, or Physics, I took American History and Trig classes instead. At NWP, Mrs. Durbeck will make sure that you're enrolled in the correct classes.
All in all you have to take at least 12 units/credits second semester.
