On number 2 of the faststart direct deposit document, what should I select for type of payment? My options are net pay, travel, and other federal employment related payments.

There is a booklet called “Instructions For Candidates Offered Admissions” and it references which parts of this form should be filled out.

Edited to add: I do not have the instructions booklet in front of me, but I remember my daughter using it yesterday when completing this specific form (as well as the others) and there were places it said did not need completed, or gave specific instructions on what to select.

I looked in the booklet and it just says to select one of the options, but it does not give guidance on which one to pick and why.

My daughter says that the instructions say to “choose either your savings or checking account” for your pay to be deposited into. That is just a personal preference. Following that, she says there are no specific instructions that say to select an option in the net pay/travel etc. portion of Block 2, so it is probably safe to conclude to leave it blank. She feels like as long as she’s following what the book tells her to do, then she should be ok.

These forms seem to be used for a variety of government jobs, which I think makes some parts of them not applicable to Academy students.
