How close does FFR work with your regional admission officer? Ours seems to know a lot about the area he is responsible for and the candidate status. From him we could kind of gauge where we stand now. I just wanted to ask about you guys' experience? FFR should give you a right picture about your chance, right?

Not sure , think it depends on the FFR rep. My DD sent a follow up email thanking her FFR for the interview and then notifying him when she received her nomination and was 3Q. He basically responded “You’re welcome “ to the first email and “Good luck” for the second email . That was it. She did say that she thought the interview went very well when she had met him .

Interesting. Looks like they are all different. Ours administered their CFA. He actually also told us where he stands in the competition both before and after 3Q+Nom. Feel like he had a lot of insider info. Fingers crossed…

We got no feedback from the FFR. He did wish her well after the interview and was pleasant , but no insight or advice . We also live in a very competive district , so not sure if he was dealing with a large number of candidates to interview . DD had her physical education teacher administer the CFA and prepared by looking at this site and other information on line .

Same here the most competitive district in a very competitive place. But last year only close to 40 students got fully qualified from our greater metropolitan area. Feel like this scale can be handled pretty easily by FFR.

Our FFR was very involved in every step - CFA, medical (DS knew he needed a waiver), and noms. DS felt comfortable to the point of texting him with questions.

Also kept us up to date on admission status - we are in a super competitive district with a high population.

I’m glad that the FFRs were so helpful and involved , really wish we could say the same . No feedback , no advice , no encouragement . And after emailing him twice and receiving two word answers both times , DD doesn’t feel comfortable contacting him again and I read the emails she had sent , she was respectful and polite .

We are the same here, super super helpful. He would respond emails within an hour. We are lucky to have him. He told us about where we stand in the competition and feel very much encouraged.
