Filled out Preliminary Application. No email/response back.

I filled out the preliminary application a week ago, but I haven't recieved any confrimation or additonal steps email from USNA. Is this normal?
 
If you are referring to the Pre-candidate Questionnaire, then yes it’s normal for the response time to be longer than a week. I received confirmation after 2 weeks when I took it. Let me know if you have any other questions about the application. (I’m USNA Class of 2025)

I don't remember exactly how long after completing my preliminary I got this as it is approaching almost a year ago but I received two more emails from them regarding what I would need to have for my application 9 days and 29 days later respectively. Got my third email from them regarding my candidate number and access to the full portal just under 2 months later.
 
I was actually wondering the same thing. The only reason I was a bit concerned was USAFA had updated me to candidate status nearly immediately. Thank you.

USNA switched over to a new computer program for candidates (CIS). So portals, etc are different than last year. Don’t know if/how this will affect prelim apps, etc this year, but things could be different. Plus Covid and delays, etc....

They are still finishing up CO ‘25. It’s not alarming to not hear anything immediately. And as people do start hearing, there will be activity here on the SAF’s. So keep an eye on the forums!

As with any kind of expected email communication, make sure and check your spam folder. Believe it or not, my mid's appointment went into his spam folder.
