Final HS Transcript

In the PTR package, there's nothing saying that a final hs transcript is required to be sent to Admissions. Is it true that the academy doesn't need to see a final transcript for accepted candidates? If so, it it recommended to send it anyways?

I don't know if it is required but my daughter told me they just filled out the final transcript forms in school. The seniors who are attending college had to fill out the college they will be attending and the final transcripts will be mailed by the high school. This is done every year by the guidance counselors office at her high school.

My experience with DS was the same as kctlaw outlined above - DS's school sent final transcripts to all universities/colleges that that graduates would be attending in the fall. His school has 99+% of students going to 4-yr college/university so could just be certain schools who send final transcripts as a matter of course, if there is an unwritten understanding b/n counselors and colleges, etc. In any event, if USNA needs something from you, they will certainly let you know sooner or later!
