Final summer seminar Questions

Hello, and congratulations to all the class of 2019.
A couple of questions about summer seminar
1) My ds is arriving the morning of June & for the first seminar. The only information we have is that Air Force Cadets will be at the Colorado Springs airport to pick him up. Will there be any more information forthcoming from the USAFA?
2) My ds does not have a cell phone and is not really interest in having one, on his USAFA portal it says Students are permitted (and encouraged) to have their cell phones during the Seminar.
My Question is do we get him a cell phone just for the seminar?

We didn't receive anything else last year. My DD was at the airport for hours. They wait to fill the bus so some people waited a really long time, some didn't wait so much.

DD didn't really use the phone much but it was useful at the airports both going and coming back.

I went and a cellphone was pretty useful to call our point of contact when our flight was delayed, but there are pay phones he could use at the airport.

I wouldn't be able to answer the first question accurately, as I drove to USAFA, but in answer to your second question, your son should be fine without a phone during the actual seminar. We didn't have a ton of time to call home during SS, but when he does have time and if he does want to he should be able to borrow a phone.
