When getting my fingerprints scanned (I'm going to a local Army recruiter) can I go by myself or do I need a parent to accompany me? I'm still considered a minor since I'm not 18 yet
Thank you!

For what it’s worth, my DS went to the recruiter and we had trouble getting the fingerprints to transfer to the USMA system. I would recommend getting them done manually then sending to USMA.

Regarding your question, just call the local recruiter first and ask if you can go without a parent.

My DD went to the Army recruiter in our area and had no issues. USMA received them and it was checked off in her portal in about two days. I went with her but you can call and ask if you need a parent to accompany you. You will need to take your drivers license and SS card.

My DS called, and went to the Army recruiter. He had to have the codes in the letter received so they transferred over. He had his done last Monday, then sent the email to the contact at WP that requested an email notifying they were done electronically, and they haven't transferred to the portal as of today.

Hello! You can do it yourself . My son went a couple of weeks back without me. 🙂

DS went to our local police department by himself (he's 17) and they inked him no questions asked.

My DS had his digital prints taken at the recruiters office on his own. They were loaded on the portal within three business days.
