First duty station

Rising ms3 who is very set on branching combat arms and would very much like for my first duty station to be with the 173rd( multitude of reasons) and would be willing to take an PADSO to get it. Is there a process to signing a PADSO with ROTC as I thought that Infantry duty stations are given at the end of IBOLC. Forgive me for planning ahead, but I would just like to learn more about this process.

I can definitely see the allure of Europe/Italy given what's happening over there right now. Wherever there is a big movement of personnel and materiel is where you would want to be...and you would not be alone in that wish. Don't be too picky about your Branch. This was years ago, but my DS wanted an overseas deployment to the ME above everything else. He picked a branch with a BRADSO, which he figured would give him the best chance of getting it, which he did.

Your main concern, at least for the next 15 mos., should be your GPA and OML.
