Flashback to this 2021 3C summer aboard CGC Eagle - Enjoy

This is super cool 😎! Thank you for sharing! I’m going to share w/ my HS sophomore. He has the desire to serve & the times to swim DIII, maybe DII- this will definitely increase the interest!
 
@Boymomof3 if your sophomore wants to sail aboard Eagle as a High School student.... look into Sea Cadets or Sea Scouts -- they sail for a week every summer. My DS did it as a Sea Scout and there were more slots than people applying. VERY Cool trip and great exposure to CGA.
 
Ohhh, interesting! Thank you @shiner for the recommendation. He would love that. He got the bug in the summer when he finally got to go to Sea Base for Scouts. Also thinking of trying to find a sailing camp for a week.

Our son spent 7! years sailing at Camp Don Lee in NC and loved it! It was over 6-hour drive for us one way from VA but he insisted on going every summer! Now he is hoping to sail or row for USCGA.
 
Thank you @YGJ - for that info! We’ll look into it. We are in IL so he may need to stay somewhere closer but it doesn’t hurt to dream 😉. We do have a big lake north of us that has a yacht club/sailing school so at the very least, he could start there.
