My DD just received notice that she has been selected for a Falcon Foundation scholarship. We are all very excited about this opportunity and have been doing a lot of research on the different schools. She will be attending a CAP Flight school next month that will give her 14 hours of flight time and she will solo. What are the opportunities at the various prep schools to continue her flight training in the fall and earn her PPL prior to going to the AFA next summer (2016)? NMMI looks great, but we also have looked at WMA but haven't seen any indication of flight training other than a virtual flight trainer at the school. Any help would be appreciated.

MMI has a flying club as well as two aircraft. She also can continue her flight instruction and earn her PPL. The flight lessons are not part of the prep program but are available as an extra-curricular activity.

Saw this post just today so my response might be to late if you have already made a decision.
DS (USAFA 2018) was Falcon at MMI and they have a great flight program with a super flight training leader: retired Marine Col. If she comes in with that many hours from CAP she should have no problem completing her PPL! Good flight facility, great training areas, great airport ( read long runway!)
