Our 4th Class daughter finally ran out of her prescription disposable contacts. She went to the Eye Clinic at the Academy, had her eyes examined, and got a new contact prescription. However, she was told that the Academy will not fill the prescription and that she will have to purchase her contacts by mail (or at home, etc.). She was also told that she will have to pay for her own contacts -- they are not covered under her other medical benefits. I haven't seen this issue addressed previously. Can a knowledgeable cadet please respond and confirm whether this information is accurate? It's not a big deal one way or the other -- just want to know whether she will need to order her contacts and pay for them while at the Academy?
