Hello All,

So I am curious about a few things in the Financial Aid Category. Today, I received my pin number to log on to view my financial aid status. However, I found that, as of now, I have only been awarded loans from the Federal Government. The letter that accompanied the login information insisted that "Everyone qualifies for some form of Financial Aid". My question is, does the Citadel update this list as the month progresses with more scholarships? When I visited the councilor, he informed me I had a very competitive application, and so I was hoping I'd qualify for at least a few bucks here and there, not in the form of loans. If anyone could answer this question, it would be greatly appreciated!!

If any changes are made to your account, it will update (I think the system updates every night). There are a number of scholarships that freshmen are considered for, and your application information is used to evaluate you for those awards. If you are given a scholarship, you will be notified and it will show up on your account.

Keep in mind though that each year the admissions standards are rising, so it would be good to apply for other scholarships. I would recommend fastweb.com

Im having the same issue here!

the only positive scholarship i got from the citadel log in thing was 500 dollars per year...

which leads me to believe that either i get the loans... or no college for me.

I plan on going in person, and asking for aid myself. something good must come out, dont you think.

keep me posted if your scholarships update...
