Will I get in trouble later on for forgetting to report having had two minor surgeries at MEPs/MEPs medical paperwork?

ROTC, MS2 SMP contracted for reference. I had my wisdom teeth extracted and a minor cosmetic surgery on my gum a few years ago. I forgot to mention these when I went through MEPs and on the medical paperwork. My MEPs entry paperwork says I marked no surgeries done. I checked my records from when I actually went to MEPs and it seems a doc may have indicated I admitted to having surgery before, but it’s hard to tell. Will this get me in trouble when/if I have to get a commissioning physical later on?

I remember getting x-rays at annual SRP months later but don’t remember them asking about surgeries.

Now that you mention it, my ROTC cadet from a few years back may have forgotten to list gum grafting by an oral surgeon too. Never had a subsequent problem so it's far back in the rear view mirror. MEPS qualifications aren't mentioned in this forum as often as the DoDMERB 'channel' but if you were my child I would tell you... don't sweat it. If you have to fill out a similar form in the future with similar questions, just include it, though both 'surgeries' you describe would likely be part of a dental questionnaire.

You may want to put this on the DoDMERB portion of this forum.

Under certain circumstances, a MEPS physical can be used as a DoDMERB physical exam that is required to contract. He might have insights on your exam IF your rotc program submitted your MEPS exam to DoDMERB for review.

Mr Mullen is on the DoDMERB portion of this forum and will see your message.
