Forms/Instructions For Applicants Offered Admission still not available in Candidate Portal.

Among them are 2 called Instructions for Applicants Offered Admission and Forms For Applicants Offered Admission. They say Not Available Yet, is this normal? I think my real question is do they contain any information I would need to know before accepting or stuff like what to bring to R-Day?

DS accepted mid February and the forms that appeared were : upload birth certificate, tattoo reporting form, fingerprinting form. Once those are filled out/uploaded other forms are released.

According to a page of WP parents, they’ve been taking anywhere from a week to a month from the date of the portal updating with the offer to arrive. I’m sure some have taken even longer. There’s nothing inside the BFE that will assist in any decision making or provide any information other than giving the date of R-day. It’s the same letter that arrived in my daughter’s portal a day or two before the update that included the ‘awesome green box’.

One interesting caveat in the BFEs from last year though was that they contained a 5 year service obligation for some and a 6 year service obligation for others. It was tucked away in the congratulatory letter. Last year was the first year they asked if you would be willing to serve 6 if offered. Interestingly though, we moved and the first BFE was delayed in the mail so we requested they resend. Then the lost one showed up. One letter said 5 years. One letter said 6. We joked that years from now, he will not know whether he accepted a 5 or a 6 yr active duty obligation.
 
My DS got a phone call and the green box but no BFE (yet). For those that have gotten it - what is the date of R day?
 
My DS BFE arrived on 3/6/21 and he was notified of his appointment on 2/16/21. We live in California. He was so incredibly excited, I think he was concerned it wasn't real as he never received a phone call from anyone so it was super reassuring to him to get some hard proof.

My DS portal was updated to show R day as July 12-14. I was surprised that I didn't see anything about the change on this forum or FB so I checked the Thayer Hotel for those dates and it is completely booked.

This updated? This is strange, we just received a notice on paper that our son is to arrive June 28. I’ll certainly need to have him look.

Where exactly in the portal did you see this new date of July 12-14?

Not sure, he is away at school, I will check with him tonight. I was dubious until I saw that the Thayer was booked for July12-14.

Those were the dates for R-Day last year. Curious that my son has not been alerted about this presumed change from June 28th.

The WP Facebook Parents Page said those dates for July are a mistake.
