From College to the Academy Question

What happens with transfers from college, with or without ROTC? Are you evaluated and placed accordingly? Does everyone go through the 4 years of academy regardless of previous college or ROTC experience? I've read up on it but it's still not clear to me how it works. I can see the benefit of attending college/ROTC for a year and then transferring to the academy - a little older, a little more mature, some ROTC experience, etc. TIA

Everyone goes through four years regardless of where they come from.

Like ZHman said you still go through all 4 years in the academy whether you have college credits or not. The academy will allow you to be placed in higher level courses if you already took the prerequisite during a civilian college (ie Calculus I during 1st year in civilian college, Academy will allow you to do Calc II).
