Did anyone else receive an invitation to FVE for March this year?

Also, for former attendees: what did the parents do during the FVE? Are there any events for them?

My dd did. We plan to attend. I don’t have any further info.

TLDR: you will be busy, but it won’t be overwhelming. You will get to experience a good chunk of it with your kiddo. Great chance to enjoy the company of other parents who raised their kids right!

Started off with brief sort of introduction at hotel and then kids carted off to their cadet hosts. General socializing at the hotel happy hour (free food a 3 free drinks). There are a number of places to eat around hotel, if needed. Next day, out early and shuttle to campus.

There are various lectures and presentations. General Clark will 1000% get you fired up about USAFA. Kids are present for these. Split up at lunch and you eat with the other parents in Mitchell. More presentations, then dinner with admissions staff, tour of stadium and walking the football field, then separate from kiddos and head back to hotel (this is the latest night).

Next day, out back to academy early and meet up with kids. Go over CFA stuff. Split into two groups. One group does admissions presentation avisitor center, the other group does the ropes course for candidates while parents watch and take pics. Lunch the same as previous day. Academic tours and parents/kids split. Tour of cadet wing for parents. Back to hotel early.

I went with DD in Fall, so we got to attend a football game. DD and other candidates got to hang out on the USAFA sidelines leading up to kickoff. After game, parents went back to hotel early.

Leave early Sun am. Fri and Sat night, a bunch of us went to Main Event for dinner and drinks. FVE is nice in that, given length, both the candidates and parents get a chance to bond and make connections.

You'll both have an amazing time. It was a really great experience for my daughter last year, and the other parents and I all enjoyed it thoroughly.

No. She is a senior and has received an appointment. She has not made a final decision, though. This will be extremely helpful.
I may reach out to the team. My DD was invited to the November session but she couldn’t go because it was the same time as her MOC nomination interviews. She let them know and they said they’d put her on the list for spring. She has a nomination but no appointment yet and this would be great to help her solidify her decision between USAFA, USNA or AFROTC.

My DS went last fall. Loved it. Came back and put USAFA as a top choice.
