Hello everyone, I (probably along with many others) am patiently waiting to start the actual application process for West Point. I am wondering if there is anything I can do to get ahead to an early start right now. On my candidate portal it says I will have to wait until July 1st at the earliest to start submitting anything. If there is anything I can do or need to do before school gets out or before July 1st, I would love for someone to share it with me. Thank you in advance!

And if it is relevant, I am going to both SLE and Boys State between now and July 1st.

The real advantage is not getting as much stuff done on your application. The challenge is achieving Academic-Athletic-Leadership potential. Start by working on your GPA and standardized testing. Prepare and work hard on the ACT/SAT test and take them often. Attending Boys State will get points on your WCS.

Have your school send your 6 semester transcripts as soon as they are ready. Contact teachers that you will use for your SOEs and get good addresses and let them know they will arrive over the summer after 1 July.

How does one send transcripts to USMA? Does the academy accept electronic transcripts through parchment? If not, is there an address to which to send the transcript prior to July 1? If not, will attempt to be patient. School office is unfortunately less responsive in July. Transcript should be available by mid Jund

Have you taken the ACT or SAT? Have you signed up to take one or the other early in your Senior year?
