Getting Complicated

Waiver!

I just got a letter today dated 11 days after I was told a waiver was requested for me for bee stings. It said my waiver had been granted. :thumb: But it also said a waiver doesn't necessarily mean an applicant is medically qualified and I should call DODMERB to see if I need to resolve any other remedials or DQs. If I haven't been notified of any remedials, I don't have any right? (unless of course I hurt myself in the near future ) Should I call DODMERB anyway, or is that just annoying? Also, is it normal to hear that fast?
Thanks!

Congratulations on your waiver! They can move that quickly!
Was the letter from West Point or Dodmerb?
If it was from West Point then you will also receive notification from Dodmerb. If you did not have any other disqualifications then you will be medically qualified.
Some candidates are dq'd for more than one condition - this is why the letter is worded this way.

You might want to touch base with your Regional Commander and tell him you recieved communication that your waiver was granted.
Good Luck!

Okay thank you that all sounds good. And the letter was from West Point.
