I am a 2021 appointee. I normally wear contacts but I know we have to show up in glasses on I day. The only glasses I own are bright purple (out of regulation). I know they issue us glasses so is it ok to show up in the purple ones or should I purchase ones with black frames for I day?

Any suggestions on the strap?
Make sure you get one that fits snug on your glasses so it's not coming off. I really liked one that was adjustable so I could fit it snug to my head or looser depending on the activity. Chums tends to be a popular brand if I remember correctly, and I think that's what I used.

Thank you!

I'd imagine for beast they would require you to wear glasses. However, when actually starting the academic year, are you allowed to wear contacts as normal?

Yes, during the academic year you can wear whatever you feel most comfortable in.
