My son got his admissions packet to West Point on Saturday!!!
We're all over the moon. This has been his dream since he was a young boy.
What made it even sweeter was that on Saturday he opted to pass up his high school wrestling tournament to take the ACTs one last time to boost his application. We all went after the exam to cheer on his fellow wrestlers and got home late that night only to find the USPS envelope. He called his teammates who were on the bus ride home and shared the news, and nearly the entire wrestling team came streaming in our front door to congratulate him.
He will definitely accept the offer.
Thanks to everyone for all the advice provided here. Now I can fully understand the bubble wrap comments!
Hoorah! Go Army!
