I have been LOA for about a month and a half and just got my waiver last Monday. My status is still LOA but there are no required actions. I’m assuming the system hasn’t updated yet? When should it change?

If you have no more required actions, you will receive a "Fully Qualified Offer of Appointment".
Finding out may be via the Candidate Information System (CIS) with a change in status (usually preceded by an EMail), or it may be via a phone call from your nomination source, or it may even be by mail in the form of an BFE.
Whatever way, it's coming. Congratulations.

The Permit To Report (PTR) packages have been sent out, so when you accept your Offer (online in the CIS) it will trigger the mailing of your PTR.

If you want something to do in the meantime, you can start getting ready for the first 3 things they'll ask you for;
1. (Police Record Check) Check into what you need to do at the local or state level police office for a Police Record Check. USNA will give you a one-page form.
2. (USNA Body Alteration Form) A four-page questionnaire on tattoos and body art, to fill out and send to USNA.
3. (Proof of Citizenship) get an original or certified copy of your birth certificate to mail to USNA. They will send this back to you.

If you are under 18 years of age, you may find that the police records check request is different for you.
There is often fingerprinting involved in this process, so you have to have an appointment.
Might as well call now and get the lowdown on the process. It will give you something to do, anyway.

Also, if you don't already have a U.S. Passport, you can go ahead and start that ball rolling.

Congratulations USNARLY10! DD is also LOA waiting for a waiver...was yours asthma related and did you take MCT challenge to clear DQ?

@tetradad, was your DD instructed to have MCCT via remedial or did you initiate? DS is TWE from USNA (hasn't heard back from USMA but assume same at this point) and was also DQ for asthma due to 1x inhaler for non-asthma illness. we did initiate a pulmonary visit and spirometry confirmed no asthma but am now wondering if should have pursued MCCT also. DS is planning on re-applying and not sure if we should wait or be proactive and have MCCT done this summer. I have read threads of false positive tests, etc. and that it's best to wait???
any thoughts appreciated!

We were instructed to perform MCCT. Completed test and forwarded to DoDMERB as instructed, along with primary care physician statement attesting to her health with no limitations. If reapplying it might help to have that done early, just to avoid timing issues later. Not clear if you’d get the DQ or not with that in hand.

I try to avoid commenting on DODMERB issues, but would recommend that you wait and do exactly what DODMERB asks for. Every medical issue is different, and what worked for one is not necessarily right for someone else. Get the re-application early, then reach out to DODMERB and get ahead of the issue.

The System took about a week to update when I went from LOA to Offer of Appointment when the medical cleared.
