I have read multiple articles concerning the USCGA and how the shutdown is affecting it. They say that non-essential personnel have been furloughed, including "support staff, maintenance and facilities workers, and groundskeepers." It seems like nearly everyone who is still working are faculty. I would imagine that admissions personnel would fall under support staff, but none of the articles I have read ever mentioned them. My question is since the deadline for early action decisions to be released is Tuesday the 15th, will they still get released, or are admissions personnel considered "non-essential" and therefore we shouldn't expect to hear anything until the shutdown ends?
