As known, 2.0 requirement to maintain scholarship benefits for AROTC. If a cadet falls below this requirement, they are placed on suspension and usually given a semester to fix their semester gpa.

Is Disenrollment plausible in the event of this occurring twice, after recovering from poor grades, regaining scholarship benefits, and then falling below again?

This in the circumstance that the cadet had no problems in regard to PT, Lab, or MS class performance, etc during year which they were placed on probation and recovered their Gpa.

1 semester below a 2.0 and you are placed on administrative suspension- no scholarship benefits other than stipend. A second semester in a row and it’s disenrollment.

So is a second semester in a row considered to follow immediately after the semester below 2.0?

Friend of mine received an email from her cadre stating this would be her second time on academic suspension since she was unable to get into summer course to fix her class grade. Stated it is grounds for Disenrollment, but not much more than that.

But this following the semester where she pulled above a 2.0 and regained her benefits.

In a row= consecutive. If you go above 2.0 you come off of suspension. College shouldn't be this hard
Agree.

If your major is anything short of something akin to Nuclear Engineering, should a potential officer in US military EVER be flirting with a 2.0?

If you’ve got classes you know are going to be kicking your a$$, take some preemptive measures and get it fixed before you get crushed with a semester grade.

Not to make light of the situation, but I saw the title of this post and wondered why someone had a question about their grandpa

I get your point, but also, I don't think we want our Nuclear engineers skirting by with a 2.0 GPA either. Those students need to be at the top of their game as much as anyone, if not more so. :D :D
