Hey everybody. Before my first post I'd like to say it's been a great pleasure being apart of this community that helps hopeful candidates like myself. Thanks.

My grades this past semester weren't to hot. Going into finals week I was expecting 1 B. Now I have 3.

The Bs are in English 5-6 honors, spanish for spanish speakers 3-4 and biology. The other classes I'm taking are APUSH and Alegbra 2. I'm also in jazz band and Cross country during fall and swim in spring. Are these grades a knockout blow? I'm currently a sophomore.

Thanks for any feedback.

I didn't get all As in my High School career. In fact I would say I had almost the same about of Bs as I had As (Probably a few more A's) and I report in 2 weeks for 2018. They know your classes are difficult, You're fine.

If I were you, I would take a look at my time management and study skills over the summer. Are you carving out enough time to properly prepare for each class or do things sometimes fall by the wayside because of your extracurricular activities? You have many responsibilities as a plebe at West Point and you have to be able to manage your time well and still prepare for your multiple classes. That first semester is very difficult and you have a very heavy academic schedule.

I would use this as a catalyst to start the new school year determined to maintain high grades while pursuing your other activities.
