The green check appeared on DS’s portal next to medical examination. Does this indicate this now complete with no issues? We haven’t been asked for any additional information.

Thank you all. Upon further review, the check is grey. Just to confirm this means medical is all set? They wouldn’t place a check there and then come back and ask for more AMI? It would just stay an ’X’ in that case, right?

The check means that they have made a decision on your medical qualification- either qualified or disqualified. I emailed the admissions officer linked on my portal to find out what the decision was.

My son received a follow up email from someone at DoDMERB who stated that he met the medical standards and it was followed by the check mark in the portal too.

I just emailed my counselor to confirm if I was eligible, and they told me I was so they know.

Does this mean an applicant will not get any notification if they were medically disqualified?

If DoDMERB disqualifies you you'll find out through that portal. If the SA requests a waiver they'll usually send a letter letting you know your waiver status. For example, they sent me a letter maybe a week or two after my portal changed letting me know they approved my waiver

My DS has his medical examination checked completed in his USNA portal. When we try to go to DoDMERB to verify the status, it shows us the website is down. However, he does show medically qualified for USMA and he did receive an email from DoDMERB saying he is medically qualified for USAFA. If he's qualified for one, is he qualified for all? How do we confirm for USNA?

It’s the same standard for all. If he has no DQs, all should be well. If he has a DQ, then waiver policies can vary across Services.

Has your son contacted USNA Admissions to confirm he is showing DoDMERB qualified to them and that is how he should interpret the checkmark?

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll have him call this week to confirm.

I’m pretty sure there’s no green check on the USNA portal, just grey. It’s green in the USAFA portal. Seems folks might be intermixing portals.

The OP corrected to gray in a later post.
