My son is a candidate hopeful for USAF, USNA or USMA! He is currently finishing his High School senior year in the (International Baccalaureate (IB)) program. He is in ROTC as "S1". He is also an avid Track and Long Distance runner that went to State for his district. He is a class of 2016 hopeful !! I have no military background and this is something he has aspired to since he was a young boy. This may have been influenced by the fact that until his High School years we lived very close to Annapolis and the Naval Academy! He has a strong desire and commitment to join one of the service academies and takes his possible service to the United States very seriously. If accepted he wants to persue a degree in a aeronautical engineering. Plan B is also in place with an scholarship to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. BUT, that is plan B, plan A is to receive an appointment! I have a daughter two years behind my son who is an AP student with very differant ambitions. I am very proud of both of them!!
