Can someone explain how re application would work for me? I'll be enlisting in the Indiana ANG and going to Purdue. I will have to go to BMT/Tech school and will probably miss either my fall or spring semester as a result. What advice do you have for re applying for C/O 2025, and what will the process look like for me?

Finish tech school then follow the application exactly as you would if you weren't a prior. The biggest difference now is that your unit CC will provide a nomination as opposed to a representative. Additionally, your supervisor and one additional officer will provide letters of recommendation.

Understand that you will likely not receive school dates immediately after enlisting. Most people wait around 3-6 months for dates, but that is not an exact figure. I waited 11 months and I know others that have waited roughly 2 years, so I'm skeptical that you would be able to finish tech school and your application in time for 2025. Obviously YMMV, but I'm a prior ANG direct for 2024, so AMA.
