PREP SCHOOL WHERE ARE YOUUUU....

Notice how nobody has really posted about receiving a prep school appointment so this means they still need to make a pool of candidates for it. If you get into prep school and you are hungry for success, you'll get into the USAFA! Pray hard if you are religious! Thank God for the opportunity to be a candidate not TWE recipient as there are reasons for it. I would be just as grateful with a prep school appointment as the extra year of school is very valuable and strengthens your character, mind, and body.

Good luck guys! I'll see you there hopefully...

My DS's friend, A very viable candidate, got his TWE Thursday. His plan B was ROTC @Penn St so he's in a great position. He is a great young man!

My DS's Plan B is ROTC @ Penn State too, but he received Army, not Air Force. Is your son's friend Air Force? We are still waiting for USAFA though too!

Received my TWE around 11 this morning. I can't say it's too much of a surprise, I almost didn't apply in the first place because I was worried about getting rejected for not being competitive. But as I continued the process, I got encouraged by so many people. I was told at my nomination interview that I did an excellent job and "Good luck with whatever you end up pursuing!" I then had several professors who had gone to military academies who explained how tremendous of an opportunity it is. I don't feel too discouraged though, anyone who goes through this process is definitely not a normal student. I had to take college classes while retaking my SAT and ACT and get evaluations from teachers who I haven't seen in two years. I guess our chances can only improve the more we apply.

I received a TWE as well and will continue with plan B and an AFROTC Scholarship. I will definitely reapply. Good luck to all those still in it!
