Hearing Test Requirements for USMA - 2013

My son just got a remedial for his hearing on his DoDMERB physical.
He retested adn had a result of Evidence of hearing loss in the speech range on his right ear.
The results showed that at 500Hz he tested at 35 dB. At all other ranges in both ears he was between 5 and 20 dB.
Is the 35 dB with in standards for acceptance to West Point?
He already has a letter of Assurance.
If not will it be wavierable?
I am open to suggestions how he should proceed on this issue.
