Hearing Waiver Denied

I just got a call from my AROTC detachment at The University of Akron. They have informed me that my waiver has been denied. I thought hearing was a common problem that could be waived but apparently in my case is not. The loss is due to exposure to loud noises such as guns and drums. and has nothing to do with any type of disease/shape/malfunction of my ear. Hope there is something I can do since my hearing was not far from the assesion standards.

(I am posting this for others to read...I have sent an email to Mr. Mullens and am waiting to hear back from him)
