Hey everybody! I've been lurking this forum since about December, but thought I'd drop in and say hi now (and maybe ask a few questions).

My name's Roman, I'm from Canada, and I've been appointed to the USNA class of 2013. It's been a tough process (since university applications are way different up here, and without SATs) and when I first started I thought it was a long shot, but I'm really grateful for going through all of this and earning the privilege to serve.

A little bit about me: I'm a naturalized U.S citizen who's lived in Canada his whole life, although about half of that time I was traveling to and from my relatives in the States. I've always loved the military and was persuaded by my uncle (a retired Captain in the USN) to try for an appointment to the USNA, which I received in February.

Anyways, I'm really excited for I-Day and I'm counting down the days(I heard it's good practice :thumb:) till I meet the rest of the class!

Welcome!

I have to say I'm a huge fan of the home port of the Canadian Pacific fleet....the beautiful Victoria, BC.
