Hello everyone, I have searched service academy for about a year or so (from AROTC to Navy CEC) and thought it was time to make a profile and introduce myself. A little about myself, I am a college student in my first year of school (community). Next year I will be attending UTSA for Civil Engineering. I have always had the desire to serve, and recently came across the Navy's Civil Engineering Collegiate Program. This is a program that I am immensely interested in, as I get to serve my country while using my degree in the field of my choice. I have some information about CECP, however any information y'all could provide would be greatly appreciated! I know that I will attend OCS in Newport after graduation, and I can only apply for this program within 24 months of graduation.
I am aware that CECP is competitive, but to what degree?
I am a 3rd degree black belt (9 years of karate), member of NHS in high school. Had a 3.97 in HS as well. In college, I am a part of Phi Theta Kappa, an honor society. Currently my GPA is a 4.0, however I am at risk of a "B" in a class. I have some community service, but need more.
So, this is my introduction to this forum. I just want to say thank you to all that reply, and am looking forward to your answers and guidance.
