Help with AFA uniform buttons

Help! I'm an old USNA parent, and I make jewelry from old uniform buttons. I had a person inquire about having me make her friend a bracelet from Air Force Academy buttons. Problem is, I don't know if the AFA has special buttons, or if they are the standard AF buttons. Can anyone help me here?? Are Air Force Academy uniform buttons exactly like the standard Air Force uniform buttons??

Hm, I don't know. I can give you a description though. The service dress buttons are silver (dull, not usually shiny) and have the AF wing and star logo. The wings go up from the star (which has a circle in it) and look like bird wings rather than the modernistic style of bars.

Thanks for the reply. That does't sound at all like what I have. In fact, the buttons I have look very much like your avatar.. SHIELD, not wings, with a eagle sitting atop, stars in a circle all around. I'm guessing that's not what you are describing, right??
