My father got the following email from USMA West Point, and I can't tell if it is a LOE or not... Can someone help me out? How much of a chance do you think I have of getting accepted?
Dear Parent,
***** ******
Dear Parent,
The United States Military Academy at West Point could be the perfect college fit for ******, and I'm reaching out to personally invite you and ****** to come visit us on campus if you haven't already done so.
Just 45 minutes north of New York City, West Point sits high on a hill overlooking the Hudson River. Spectacular views are just part of the natural and architectural beauty that is West Point. Prospective candidates and their families may schedule a daily admissions visit, which consists of a one-hour briefing co-presented by an Admissions Officer and a current cadet, a walking tour of the campus (weather permitting), an opportunity for a one-on-one meeting with an Admissions Officer, and a chance for the prospective candidate to attend classes and eat lunch with a cadet.
These daily visits, especially those conducted during the academic year, are the best way to become familiar with West Point -- both as a top-ranked college and as a military academy.
West Point develops the whole person -- academic, military, physical, and ethical -- all the elements of great leaders. We offer an amazing college experience that ****** will find nowhere else -- from the classroom and club sports to drill training and weekend socializing, West Point has it all.
I think West Point could be the right choice for ******. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact my admissions team.
Sincerely,***** ******
