Just curious if anyone has ideas how to best present scholarship winners at their high school awards day? In the past, I know someone from the military presented the awards with the gigantic check. Always thought that was so cool. My DS won the 4 year army scholarship. We were informed from the LTC at his future school that the Army would not allow him to travel to the different schools. Stupid Covid. My son's guidance counselor wondered if a local retired military officer would be held to the same rules? Anyone know?

We've always had a local member present the check who was arranged by our counselor talking to the local recruiting office. Congrats!

Try to find your local MOAA chapter (Retired Military Officers Association of America). My dh has attended functions at the local high schools as a representative of the USAF.

In 2002, The Retired Officers’ Assn (TROA) became the Military Officers’ Assn of America

There is also the Association of the United States Army, AUSA.

The local Army recruiter might be a good place to ask. They would appreciate the visibility to that audience, and would be a crisp uniformed presence.
